Nueca Internship & Project Fund Batch 1 2023 Concludes 📚
On May 19, 2023, we celebrated the successful conclusion of the Nueca Internship Program (NIP) and the Nueca Senior Project Fund (NSPF). We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 22 interns and 14 beneficiaries who completed these programs, along with the support of their academic coordinators and representatives.
Since its initiation in 2018, NIP has played a crucial role in upholding our commitment to complement the academic curricula of colleges and universities in the Bicol Region. This year, we launched NSPF to further reinforce this commitment.
Together, NIP and NSPF have provided us with a valuable opportunity to identify and engage with potential talents who may become future Nuecans.
We express our deep appreciation to Ateneo de Naga University, Bicol University, and Partido State University for their partnership, which has been instrumental in making Batch 1 for 2023 a resounding success. Together, we have created a remarkable opportunity for these 36 students to gain meaningful experiences.
The Nueca Internship Program (NIP)
Our 8 interns from Partido State University taking up Bachelor of Science in Economics were Riana Rica Narito, Angelica Nemo, Jay-Anne Respeto, Kevin Collano, Frances Gonzales, John Paul Luna, Ben John Rodriguez and Eric Velasco.
Riana, Angelica, Jay-Anne, Kevin, Frances, John Paul, Ben and Eric immersed themselves on various aspects of our eCommerce business such as sales and marketing, operations and support, finance and accounting, and business management.
Our 2 interns from Bicol University taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology were Joshua Joseph Sinogba (Main Campus) and Allan Emmanuel Cerujales (Polangui Campus).
Joshua and Emman focused on Google Android app development under the supervision of our engineers.
Our 7 Interns from Ateneo de Naga University taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology were Xenia Buenagua, Romeo Alipio Dasigan, Genbert Dacudao, Kathleen Dela Cruz, Deric San Andres, Jemmalyn Vito Cruz and Harvey Steven Fajardo.
Harvey focused on Software Project Management and was supervised by our managers.
Xenia, Kathleen and Derek focused on on Apple iOS app development under the supervision of our Apple engineers.
Genbert focused on cloud application development and was supervised by our cloud engineers.
Romeo and Jemmalyn focused on user interface and experience design under the supervision of our interaction designer.
Our 3 Interns from Ateneo de Naga University taking up Bachelor of Science in Digital Illustration and Animation were Technology were Julianne Marie Mendoza, Cyril Angela Sarte, and Jon Carlo Relao.
Julianne, Cyril and Jon immersed themselves on graphics & communications and also user interface & experience design under the supervision of our designers.
Our 2 interns from Ateneo de Naga University taking up Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Accounting and Information Management were Sienna Therese Belleza and Sarena Bonos.
Sienna and Sarena focused on eCommerce operations and support under the guidance of our eCommerce supervisor and manager.

“DigiHydro” by Patrick Bajamunde, James Luna & David Fermo;
“Gaido” by Colt Herras, Roummel Olano & Leobert Teodoro; and
“Handwritten Text Recognition” by El Jon Bartolome & Maximillian Principe.
More than the fund, NSPF allowed the beneficiaries to have access to our engineers for consultation and to our headquarters for facilities.
